  • Device ID and advertising ID (for fraud prevention and ad personalization)

  • Verify identity and prevent fraud, including duplicate accounts and bonus abuse

4. Rewards and Withdrawals

MonTree provides virtual rewards (coins and gems). These have no monetary value until successfully redeemed.

We do not guarantee income. Earnings depend on user activity, task availability, and compliance with our terms.

Withdrawals are reviewed to prevent fraud. Payouts may be delayed or withheld if fraudulent activity is suspected, including the use of fake ID numbers, automated bots, or policy violations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Payment providers (to process EFT, airtime, and data payouts)
  • Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob and task providers) – these partners may collect device identifiers and IP addresses to serve ads
  • Analytics providers (to understand app performance and usage)
  • Legal authorities if required by law or to protect our rights

6. Your Rights (POPIA)

Under South Africa’s POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:

  • Within the app: Navigate to Profile > Settings > Delete Account
  • By email: Send a request to support@getmontree.com from your registered email address

Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes (e.g., transaction records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by South African financial regulations).

8. Security

We use encryption and secure systems to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

MonTree is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
